The Child Care Council is a resource and referral agency working to improve the quality and availability of child care and provides referral services to parents seeking child care in Clinton and Franklin Counties.

This program currently offers a once a month mutual support group for Kinship caregivers and a children’s program simultaneously. The group runs the 3rd Monday or every month (unless a Holiday) from 5-7pm and pizza is provided for both adults and children.

The program also offers information and referral services, developmental screening for children birth to 5 years old, court mandated Supervised Visitation, and playgroups. The aggency website is www.ccccnc.orgwhere a calendar can be found for days and times for each program.

Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York to provide funding for the Children’s Law Project whereby more than fifty low-income children with disabilities will receive free direct legal services and 100 parents, children or human services agencies staff will receive legal education on the rights of children with disabilities. Legal Aid takes kinship issues on a case by case basis, also does Education Law. No age eligibility, income eligibility varies from program to program.
